Bio-dynamic Farming in Ontario

Nearly 4 years ago, not long after graduating from CSNN and before I really knew what my business would be about or what services I would provide — I made a thing!!

While I now serve on the marketing and advertising side of the health and wellness biz, the foundations of my company are the same — engaging and educating people with quality content that allows them to learn new things about real food, nutrition, and the power it has to transform your health & life.

Meet Mike Lanigan, farmer and owner of The Farmhouse Garden @farmhousegardenanimalhome

Mike spent 20 years as a cattle farmer, before transforming his farm into the biodynamic/organic farm it is today. His cattle is now used to support the land as a whole.

“As a biodynamic and organic farm, herbivores are absolutely essential. We compost the manure and utilize it in fertilizing our crops.”

His farm has been certified organic since 1994 and Biodynamic since 2005. You can find his vibrant produce year round every Saturday 8am-1pm at the Toronto Waldorf School Farmers Market.

You can watch the full episode (its approx. 3 min) below.
